Bright Sunshiny Day – Art Journal Page for Orange and Yellows
I did the basic background of this art journal page years ago; maybe 2 or 3 years ago!
This “Bright Sunshiny Day” art journal page is full of beautiful orange, yellows and pinks.
The butterfly is a dye cut from using my big shot machine. I used an old book page to cut the butterfly from.
The large flower I hand cut from some decorative paper, then drew the tip of the pedals and out line each pedal in black.
This was to be a real 3d flower (as in for a vase) made using the old technique of making paper flowers. I actually learned this techinique from a YouTube video from one of my favorite online art teachers Jennibellie. You can watch that video here. However, I did not make the full 3d flower here, so that it would lay flat in the journal once close.
See it in 3D – plus some Progression Pics
Here’s a video, first showing the finished page, then some progression pics as I created the page from the original background!
Have fun and go create! Hope this inspires you to PLAY!!
